Inspired by the work of Alvin Lucier, I sought to develop a piece that examines the music in our bodies compared to the sound we seek in the physical world. I crafted a stethoscope which attaches to an AudioTechnica condenser microphone to pick up the signal from my beating heart as the pulse beneath my voice. This performance occurred on December 4th, 2025 as a part of the Boyer Ensemble for Electroacoustic Production (BEEP) Electronic Music Ensemble Concert in Rock Hall at Temple University Boyer College of Music and Dance.
This 8-Bit score was created for the video game Mario as part of the Scoring and Audio for Video Games class at Temple University and utilizes skills in synthesis and composition.
